The Meis golf course was opened on 17 May 2000 and designed by Antonio Grande has 18 championship holes. The Monte Castrove (Galician Interest Foundation owns the field) Foundation took over the management of the facility on October 1, 2013, after a 10-year period in which handled the Royal Spanish Golf Federation. Currently the Board of the Foundation consists Monte Castrove by concellos Meis Meaño, Ribadumia, Vilanova de Arousa Arousa, Barro, Pontevedra Cambados, Sanxenxo and the golf club do Fento Chan.
The chairmanship of the Board is held by the City Council of Meis, represented by its mayor Illmo sr. Jose Luis Perez Estevez.
The Meis golf course is a natural path in a forest of Galician pines, with wide fairways “lies”, “dog-legs”, lakes and natural obstacles, within a tranquil setting with stunning mountain views estuaries Arousa and Pontevedra and located just 10 minutes from the capital of the province.
The technical field values (white bars 73.4, 72.5 yellow bars, blue bars 75.5, 74.3 red bars), par and slope balance (white bars 132, 130 yellow bars, blue bars 135, 133 bars red), show that it is a competitive field for all levels.
